About Us
Graylingwell Girls was started in 2022 by Megan & Dan Garrod who had a daughter showing all the signs of a budding footballer but who was always held back in mixed gender sessions. Dan after completing a degree in Sport Management & Football Studies went on to work around the world coaching youth football sessions, eventually working for professional football clubs in the UK & contributing towards the growth of Girls participation in Sport.
Our expansion has gone from 8 girls at our very first meet to 350+ girls & now women across 4 different sessions!

Graylingwell Girls mission is to provide high quality engaging coaching to all girls & women. By focusing on the above philosophy, it will not only break down any barriers that girls may have of football but accelerate girls’ capability that may already play.
NEW for Summer 2024 - we are over the moon to announce our partnership with Chichester City FC! When we launched Graylingwell Girls we wanted to create a space for girls to play football purely recreationally. Something accessible to all abilities that would focus on the fun and social side of a team sport. Little did we know we would attract so many talented little footballers!
This partnership with Chichester City FC has been in discussion for almost a year, it was really important to us that we were able to offer the girls that wanted it a pathway to play competitively but we didn't want to lose our ethos in the process. We feel Chichester City FC is the perfect fit for us and we are so excited to be able to offer this to our girls.
Ages 4+
We take ALL abilities, even girls/women with no fitness or experience of the game. On the flip side we also encourage players that have already played to participate as our Coaching philosophy will ensure your game develops even further!
Learning through Excitement
We pride ourselves on being super engaging and uplifting, with the girls having fun at the forefront of our plans. As much as it's a competitive sport, there's nothing that we love to see more than the girls falling about laughing about after one of our infamous warm up games!
Giving girls the experience of a Team Sport
One thing we noticed from our own daughter's experience is that girl's tend to be pigeon holed into clubs that are predominantly solo activities. We believe that playing a team sport holds so much more value than exercise alone.
The girls learn communication on the pitch, how to support your team mates through wins and loses, how to work together effectively to reach the same end goal (no pun intended!) and most importantly how to brainstorm a creative group goal celebration!
